Kabuto & More

**Contains Spoilers**

Although Kabuto isn’t one of my favorite characters, I thought about his personality and life today while listening to Naruto episodes. Yes, listening. It’s soothing to hear anime while I work 😛 Judge me!

Anyway, the episode I was listening to was when Yamato transforms into Sasori and meets Sasori’s spy, Kabuto, at the Bridge of Heaven and Earth. I started thinking about Kabuto’s character and his childhood. Continue reading Kabuto & More

Naruto Fanfic: A Jinchuuriki’s Friend, A Lost Memory Pt. 1

**Here’s my first fanfic “chapter”! How I’m going to write it is using the scenes from Naruto itself and adding my character into it, so for Naruto readers and viewers, you’ll see some familiar scenes in my fanfic. Samire Mizu (“Violet Water”) is the main character of the story, just FYI. Ryu Hyuga is from the Hyuga clan and Shiro Kobayashi is another teammate. Saitou-sensei is the leader of Team 14. They all went traveling around the world for three years after Ryu, Samire, and Shiro graduated from the academy to find shinobi masters and find special skills, moves, etc., to help them develop their own styles. Stay tuned for more chapters!** Continue reading Naruto Fanfic: A Jinchuuriki’s Friend, A Lost Memory Pt. 1

Neji + Analysis of Masashi Kisimoto’s Work

**Spoilers May Be In This Post**

I had a sudden whim to write about Neji from Naruto. He’s one of my favorite characters along with several others in Naruto, including Gaara, which I have written a blog about already here:

Watching Neji’s past self today in Naruto episodes made me want to write about him. Neji has this rather cold, stuck-up, and pessimistic personality due to the resentment he feels towards the Hyuuga clan’s hierarchy and, I believe, his father’s death really took a toll on him. To me, Neji’s cold personality was because he wanted to prove to the head family that, as a member of the branch family, he was a genius and the best ninja among the Hyuuga clan people. Due to this, however, I think Neji fell into a shinobi downfall: arrogance. Continue reading Neji + Analysis of Masashi Kisimoto’s Work

Today, I want to speak about one of my favorite characters in Naruto: Gaara.

When Gaara was first introduced in the anime, I was intrigued by his character’s personality because I wanted to know why he was so… cold. I knew there was something more to him than meets the eye. When Kisimoto reveals Gaara’s past, it was such a contrast to how he was during the Chuunin exams. I cried so hard when I saw his past — it was just heart-breaking and, even though both Gaara and Naruto were Jinchuuriki, I believe Gaara went through more pain since he actually had family members, but, besides Yasahmaru, they left him alone and his father even tried to assassinate him many times. When seeing Gaara as a child, I just felt like I wanted to be his friend and be nice to him, unlike the villagers. Continue reading Gaara

Naruto Predictions Part One — Hidan (may contain spoilers)

As I’m bouncing from Naruto episodes today to revisit fights and favorite scenes, I wanted to discuss my thoughts on the future predictions I have at the moment for Naruto.

Today, I’ve been watching the fight between Asuma’s platoon and the Akatsuki members, Hidan and Kazuku. After Asuma dies, Team Ten heads out to rid of these two Akatsuki members to not let their sensei’s information and sacrifice mean nothing. Anyway, I remember reading one of Masashi Kisimoto’s interview and how he said that characters we didn’t think we’d see again will be seen again in the future chapters of Naruto. Continue reading Naruto Predictions Part One — Hidan (may contain spoilers)

First Post — Ain’t Gonna Be The Last!

Since about three weeks ago, I have been totally consumed by Naruto — both the manga and anime. I used to think it was a bore, never giving it a second glance. However, thanks to Tsunami on Cartoon Network, I watched some of the dubbed version of Naruto and was like, “All right… let’s check this shit out… in Japanese, of course.” English dubbed is terrible. Naruto’s voice… Really hope it changes after the two-year time skip. Anyway, I watched Naruto and pulled an all-nighter (side-effect that I have when I get into an anime). Continue reading First Post — Ain’t Gonna Be The Last!
